All About Your New Handmade Soap

Thank you for Shopping with us, your satisfaction is very important to us. A few things to remember about your new soap. Handmade soap is made with natural ingredients such as olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, shea butter, cocoa butter just to name a few. Store bought soap is very inexpensive because it's not really soap it's a detergent. Similar to the one you use to wash dishes and clothes. What I have found is handmade/handcrafted soap is better for you for one because it has less ingredients to cause any allergies and second it's soap. Not a detergent made out of petroleum products.
One way I tested this theory is when I made hot processed soap, one of the ways to test your soap for completion is the tongue test.. Ok so... you will have to put your tongue on the finished soap. The theory is that if it zaps you (similar to a battery check) then it needs to cook longer. Well I tested this because I want to be absolutely sure it was done. WOW! To my surprise no zapping involved! And to be honest with you for soap it wasn't that nasty soap in mouth you will remember as a child. It actually did not taste much different than the oils it was made out of. Now, I am not going to be eating any soap anytime soon but for a taste test it was very do-able. So all you soapers out there..Don't be afraid!
Do I need to do anything different with my new soap? TOP
Our handmade soaps are made using natural ingredients and our Glycerin Soaps are sensitive to extremes in heat we may prevent shipping of some specialty items. During the summer months items such as our lotion sticks, Glycerin soap and even soy candles are sensative to the summer heat. If you are ordering and the mail carrier leaves your package in the mail slot during the day while you're at work you may wish to have the package delivered to your place of work to prevent melting of these items.
All natural handcrafted soap will need to dry out between uses to extend the life of the soap, we suggest using a soap dish with raised teeth to help it dry between uses.

I love those clear soaps, I heard they are better for you? TOP
Transparent soap made from a melt and pour base has extra alcohols and sugars in it to make it clear. Because natural soap is opaque it is not naturally clear. Unfortunately it has more ingredients in it to make it clear (namely alcohol which can be drying). So the next time you consider buying a clear soap make sure you understand that just because it’s clear and you can see right through it…does not mean it's better for you...
How long is the shelf life of a handmade soap? TOP
SOAP SHELF LIFE: Our handmade cold processed soap has a very long shelf life, some as long as 18 months. The shelf life of our soap is subject to many factors, including heat, exposure to air, dirt, handling, etc.
