Michelle Rhoades, is a Certified Soapmaker and Teacher by the Handcrafted Soapmaking and Cosmetics Guild.

Michelle started her career in the bath and body industry in 2006 as an independent contractor in direct sales offering spa parties at home. During this time she developed the skill set she needed to open her own soapmaking business. She realized not only was she selling some else’s product but that her entire business was built on a model that was about to be discontinued. After the company shut their doors to the direct sellers, she found herself with customers who needed a product. It was then she decided to make her own products.
With the help of her husband (who talked her into making cold processed soap) in 2009 they started Mossy Creek Soap. In November of 2010 she opened up the Mossy Creek Soap Studio where she could share her love of soapmaking.
She participated in many Gifting Opportunities with GKB productions and the Artisan Group during the 2013 Oscars. The 2012 holiday season her soap was featured in Southern Living's Christmas At Home 2012 Special Edition Magazine. In 2011, she received national attention with her Coffee Soap by appearing in the FOODNETWORK.com Holiday 2011 Gift Guide for her, Received local TV recognition with 13 WMAZ and FOX News 24 along with a 3 page spread in the Telegraph Newspaper.
Her soap also appeared in the Handcrafted Soapmaking Soap Calendar 2012, Georgia Family Magazine June 2012, In April 2012 she also participated in a Celebrity Gifting Opportunity for Earth Day 2012 and in the 2012 MTV Gifting Guide by the Artisan Group.
Over the last few years she is sharing her experiences as a speaker around the country at various conferences and meetings: Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild annual Conference 2013, 2015, the Alabama Soap and Candle Conference in 2012, 2014, 2015 and The Tennessee Soap/Candle Group 2014, 2015.
