Mossy Creek Soap Studio was founded in 2009 by Dan and Michelle Rhoades with a desire to create a new business.
They began making soap together out of their kitchen in 2009. By the end of 2010, they opened up the Mossy Creek Soap studio in Warner Robins, Georgia and began offering classes. At the beginning of 2013, they transformed a beautiful 1920’s house into our new teaching facility and moved operations to Downtown Perry, Georgia.
With a lot of luck and hard work their business has flourished through the years, each year growing and adding new features.
Michelle has been interviewed for the Handmade Magazine, Indie Business Network, the Soap Collaborative and various blogging sites. She is a published author for the Saponifier Magazine (Making Soap Magazine). Michelle’s professional career has blossomed since she began teaching. Which led the way for her success as both a soapmaker and as an instructor. Her use of color and visually stimulating photography has earned the recognition of both the foodnetwork.com and The Holiday Edition of Southern Living Magazine.
